The MWS-E draws from ICS's rich catalogue of education courses and its decades-long commitment to integrally Christian scholarship. This program is designed to give working educators (teachers and administrators) the space to reflect, grow, and sharpen their practice in a community of peers.

The Foundation of Your MWS-E

Every MWS-E student takes these two foundational courses. They establish the biblical and philosophical grounding that shapes the rest of your journey.

Explore the biblical story as the grounding narrative for Christian educational practice and worldview formation. This course invites you to read Scripture afresh and discover how its overarching themes shape what it means to teach and lead.

Core 3 Credits Fall

Engage Reformational philosophy to develop a deeply Christian understanding of the educational task. Explore how worldview, faith, and the rich ICS tradition of integral scholarship inform what happens in the classroom and beyond.

Choose 4–5 electives from ICS's education catalogue. Courses rotate on a regular schedule and each is delivered online with asynchronous work and biweekly Zoom sessions.

Examine what it means to teach in ways that invite genuine transformation in learners and in yourself. Explore the intersection of pedagogy, faith, and formative practice.

Develop the habits and skills of a reflective practitioner who can examine, articulate, and improve their own professional work, moving from experience to insight.

Learn to foster inclusive, just, and welcoming school communities where every student is known and valued. Explore what belonging looks like in a Christian learning environment.

Build the leadership capacities needed to mentor, coach, and develop strong collaborative teams in your school. Learn to lead with wisdom and care.

Reflect on teaching as a vocation: a calling rooted in faith, identity, and purpose. Reconnect with the deeper story of why you became an educator in the first place.
